ProduGuia — Tab Manager
This Privacy Policy explains what information the ProduGuia extension uses, why it is needed, and how it remains under your control in your browser.
Summary
In this policy
Data used
To work correctly, ProduGuia may store the following information locally related to your use of the extension:
- URLs of tabs saved by the user;
- titles of saved tabs;
- names of categories created by the user;
- structure of saved sessions, including tabs associated with each session;
- extension usage preferences, such as display mode and organization options.
Favicons or site icons may be displayed by the browser to help visually identify tabs. ProduGuia does not use these icons for tracking.
Purpose of data use
The information is used exclusively to provide the extension's core features:
- saving tabs and browsing sessions;
- organizing tabs into user-defined categories;
- restoring saved sessions;
- displaying titles, URLs, and visual information needed to identify saved tabs;
- maintaining local extension usage preferences.
ProduGuia does not use this data for advertising, analytics, user profiling, or any purpose unrelated to tab organization.
Local storage
Extension data is stored in your browser through the Chrome storage API, including chrome.storage.local where applicable.
No information is transmitted to ProduGuia's external servers. Removing the extension or manually deleting saved data may erase locally stored information, depending on browser behavior.
Data sharing
ProduGuia does not share user data with third parties. It also does not sell, rent, transfer, or make browsing data available to advertisers, marketing platforms, analytics tools, or external services.
What ProduGuia does not do
- does not collect sensitive personal data;
- does not record full browsing history outside of tabs saved by the user;
- does not send data to external servers;
- does not share data with third parties;
- does not track users across websites;
- does not use cookies for monitoring;
- does not use data for advertising or remarketing;
- does not perform behavioral analysis or profiling.
Permissions used
The extension requests only the permissions needed for its tab organization and restoration features:
- tabs: allows access to tab information, such as URL and title, so you can save and restore them later;
- storage: allows local storage of categories, sessions, and extension preferences;
- tabGroups: allows organizing tabs into groups when restoring sessions, when that feature is used.
These permissions are used only to deliver the features visible to the user within the extension's purpose.
Limited use statement
ProduGuia's use of information is limited to the extension's single purpose: helping users organize, save, and restore tabs and browsing sessions.
Data is not transferred to third parties, is not used for advertising, and is not accessed by people for analysis, support, or review purposes, unless the user chooses to share information manually in a support request.
User control
You remain in control of the data saved by the extension and can:
- create, edit, or delete categories;
- save or remove tabs and sessions;
- export data for backup, when the feature is available;
- import or replace data manually, when the feature is available;
- remove the extension from the browser to stop using it.
Security
Because data remains in the user's browser, the security of that information also depends on the protections of the device itself, the Chrome profile, and local browser settings.
We recommend keeping your browser up to date and protecting access to the device used to save sessions and tabs.
Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect changes to the extension, adjustments to functionality, Chrome Web Store requirements, or applicable legal obligations.
When a relevant change occurs, the update date at the top of this page will be revised.
